Relevant Experience:

 Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.

Registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) will be preferred.

A minimum of 5–7 years of relevant professional experience as a Civil Engineer/Consultant, preferably with national or international NGOs/INGOs.

Demonstrated experience in the design, supervision, and implementation of irrigation systems, drinking water supply schemes, and other community infrastructure projects.

Strong knowledge of engineering design, BoQ preparation, cost estimation, quality assurance and construction supervision.

Excellent report writing, communication and coordination skills.

Willingness to travel extensively to remote project locations in Lower Chitral and Shangla

Job Description:

Conduct technical feasibility studies, site surveys, and engineering assessments for proposed infrastructure schemes.

Assess the technical, environmental, and operational feasibility of High-Efficiency Irrigation Systems (HEIS), Small Irrigation Channels, and Drinking Water Supply Schemes (DWSS).

Recommend technically sound and cost-effective engineering solutions.

Ensure that all proposed schemes comply with relevant engineering standards and project objectives.

Prepare engineering designs, technical drawings, layouts, profiles, Bills of Quantities (BoQs), and cost estimates for approved infrastructure schemes.

Develop technical specifications for construction materials and civil works.

Review and revise engineering designs as required during project implementation.

Ensure compliance with Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) standards and relevant government engineering guidelines.

Ensure that construction activities are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, BoQs, technical specifications, and work plans.

Monitor construction quality, workmanship, and material standards throughout implementation.

Provide technical guidance to contractors, skilled laborers, project staff, and community representatives.

Resolve technical issues arising during construction and recommend appropriate engineering solutions

Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with approved engineering standards.

Verify the quality of construction materials and completed works.

Recommend corrective measures where construction does not meet the required specifications.

Ensure compliance with environmental safeguards, disability inclusion principles, and accessibility standards, where applicable.

Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including feasibility reports, engineering drawings, BoQs, site inspection reports, progress reports, measurement sheets, completion reports, and photographic records.

Submit regular technical progress reports to the Project Coordinator.

Maintain complete and organized records of all engineering activities and project documentation.

Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards at all project sites.

Promote safe construction practices and ensure the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Monitor environmental compliance during implementation and recommend mitigation measures where necessary.

Report accidents, incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions promptly
