CHILD SAFEGUARDING: Level 3: The post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff. |

ROLE PURPOSE: The Human Resources and Safeguarding Coordinator will report to the Chief of Party (COP) and provide strategic and operational HR support to the SSSM Project. The role will coordinate recruitment and onboarding, workforce planning, staff development, performance management, employee relations, and talent development, ensuring that HR systems, processes, and practices are effectively implemented in accordance with Save the Children policies and project requirements. The position will also serve as the project focal point for safeguarding, contributing to a safe, respectful, inclusive, and professional working environment across the SSSM Project. This includes promoting staff awareness and compliance with safeguarding standards and Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH) requirements, supporting appropriate reporting and referral mechanisms, and strengthening a culture of dignity, respect, and zero tolerance for harassment, bullying, exploitation, and abuse. The Coordinator will work closely with the COP, HR, Safeguarding, and project management teams to ensure timely recruitment and staffing, effective workforce planning, staff capacity development, performance management, and consistent application of HR and safeguarding standards across all project locations. |
