Relevant Experience:

 

  • Graduation in Social Sciences with 4-5 years of relevant experiences with NGOs/INGOs.
  • Ability and willingness to work and live in a challenging and potentially unstable environment.
  • Experience in working in complex and volatile contexts.
  • Technical Food Security knowledge.
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities.
  • Experience in leadership and problem solving

Professional proficiency in English and Local Languages (Pashto, Urdu) speaking ability.

Job Description:

  • Work at the community level to implement activities in accordance with project plans.
  • Identify community leaders in the assigned geographical areas.
  • Mobilize and organize communities for trainings and capacity building programs.
  • Ensure community participation in meetings and awareness sessions.
  • Oversee the execution of social mobilization initiatives within the designated Union Councils/neighbourhood councils of the project.
  • Implement weekly and monthly activity schedules for targeted areas and specified Village Organizations.
  • Gather qualitative and quantitative data at the field level for surveys and assessments.
  • Facilitate behaviour change campaign at community level.
  • Maintains project efficiency and effectiveness; targeting the beneficiaries that are most vulnerable and most in need.
  • Ensure the functionality and enhancement of VOs/COs/CBOs in alignment with the project's social mobilization strategy and in accordance with GMI indicators, such as facilitating bylaws development, maintaining records, drafting meeting minutes, and other relevant tasks.
  • Identify training requirements for Village Organizations and conduct capacity-building sessions, while also preparing training reports.
  • Collaborate closely with other project staff including PO Agriculture & Livestock, Value Chain Officer, and Project Engineer to identify beneficiaries and project sites, and to implement activities such as establishing FGDS, raising awareness on nutrition, and delivering agricultural/livestock trainings.
  • Assist NIDA Project personnel during field visits.
  • Support the Group Maturity Assessment utilizing GMI tools, develop action plans based on identified needs, and generate periodic reports on progress against the action plan.
  • Act as a liaison between Village Organizations and Stakeholders, including Government Line Departments, to foster broader impact and sustainability.
  • Promote the Project by providing substantive input for stories, case studies, articles and other PR activities in consultation with MEAL team.

Undertake any additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
