Relevant Experience:

Graduation in DVM/Animal Husbandry or Post Graduation in Human Nutrition / Agriculture with 5-6 years relevant experience with NGO/INGO.

Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point)

Ability and willingness to work and live in a challenging and potentially unstable environment.

Commitment to and proven track record in managing accountable, transparent, and inclusive programming in complex contexts.

Ability to work independently, but also coordinate effectively as part of a team.

Ability to lead a multi-cultural team with a high level of respect for local culture.

Professional proficiency in English and Local Languages (Pashto, Urdu) speaking ability.

Job Description:

1.     PO will be responsible for effective and efficient management of the Agriculture and Livestock  under the FNS component in line with the project proposal, processes, the budget, the time-frame, regulations as per the partnership agreements signed with the donor.

2.     Collaborate with the Project Management, other component heads and stakeholders for the efficient implementation of the project activities and sharing of progress.

3.     Assist MEAL Officer in monitoring, evaluation of the relevant project and quality progress reporting to donors.

4.     To coordinate capacity building support from donor, M&E, Finance, Logistics and security sections when required.

5.     Ensure all necessary FNS related documents are properly maintained and recorded properly.

6.     Assist MEAL team in handling of beneficiaries and stakeholders’ complaints.

7.     Assist Project Manager in Coordination with line departments- Agriculture, Livestock, TMO, Food Department, Halal Food Authority, health, Irrigation for execution of planned activities.

1.      PO will be responsible for effective and efficient management of the agriculture and livestock specific activities under the FNS component in line with the project proposal, processes, the budget, the timeframe, regulations as per the partnership agreements signed with the donor.

 Performance standard

Conduct orientation sessions to properly orient the staff particularly Field Officer and beneficiaries about overall objectives and agriculture-based activities of the FNS component as per approved proposal.

Lead selection of beneficiaries for FDGs, BBCM, CBOS/VOS formations, post-harvest losses control and vaccination de-worming campaigns of livestock and implement the planned activities in the field efficiently and effectively.

Lead the process of identification/verification and registration of component beneficiaries as per the agreed criteria in the approved proposal.

Participate in all planning and review meetings (weekly, monthly, quarterly annually)

Conduct the agriculture trainings on FGD trainings, postharvest losses control, field days on FDGs and annual fairs on nutrient rich food production).

2.     Collaborate with the Project management, other component heads and stakeholders for the efficient implementation of the project activities and sharing of progress.

 Performance standard:

Liaise with the project management and heads of components for coordinated implementation of planned activities.

Share progress of on-going agriculture base activities of the FNS component and future plans in line with the DIP.

Finalize and use the programme documents (formats, reports) for required compliance in consultation with the Project Manager and MEAL Officer.

Coordinate with concerned line departments i.e. agriculture and livestock, PHE, irrigation, Food department, halal food authority to ensure their participation and involvement in planned project interventions under the FNS component at district level.

Assis project management in development of project presentation, project introduction project orientation and visibility matter for staff, visitors and general stakeholders

Assist project management in organizing donor visits.

 

3.     Assist Project Manager and MEAL Officer in monitoring, evaluation of the relevant project and quality progress reporting to donors.

 Performance standard

Generate activity reports of agriculture, Livestock, PHE, Food base activities and ascertain proper feedback from the project management for course correction.

Take necessary course correction actions for the issues highlighted during monitoring visits.

Participate in weekly, monthly and annual project review meetings. 

Compile, maintain and share data of the agriculture/ Livestock base activities of the FNS component with project management, MEAL officer for timely submission of monthly, mid-term and final reports.

Ensure Impact oriented implementation of the agriculture/Livestock base activities in line with project LFA and proposal.

Ensure integration of organizational cross cutting themes in implementation of FNS component.

Assist monitoring team in conducting nutrition surveys and M&E plan implementation.

 4.     Coordinate capacity building support from donor, M&E, Finance, Logistics and security sections when required.

 Performance standard

Assist project management in assessment of his/her capacity to perform his/her duties efficiently and identify the areas of improvement.

Share the need for capacity building, areas of improvement with the project management and program management, when required.

Identify the topics/ contents of the areas of improvement and suggests project/program management for on job capacity building.

 5.     To ensure all necessary FNS related documents are properly maintained and recorded properly at field level.

Performance standard

Maintained the check list of the required documents for the compliance of the project documentation.

Orient his/herself on maintenance of the agreed documentation templates for proper record keeping of the component activities.

Review, maintain and monitor the record documents of component activities time to time and share with project management.

 6.     To ensure smooth implementation of policies and code of conduct in respective project activities, in addition handling of beneficiaries and stakeholders’ complaints.

 Performance standard

Sharing with community / beneficiaries about complaint handling mechanism and give them proper guidance about the ways / means of sending complaints.

Provide full cooperation and support to team for handling project related complaints.

Guide the complainant if he/she needs any assistance about the systems.
