We’ve grown by 1000% in the past year, serving customers across Canada and the USA—and we’re just getting started! Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in CS, Software Engineer or related domain or the candidates graduating in 2026.
• Must have 3.5 CGPA or above
• Strong proficiency in React.js, React Native, Node.js, Express.js, PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Experience working with data structures or algorithms during coursework/projects, research, internships, or practical experience in school or work (e.g. open-source coding).
• Experience or familiarity with MERN stack or React Native.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with software development in one or more programming languages (Preferrably Javascript)
• Experience with Rest & GraphQL APIs and third-party libraries
• Familiarity with Git, version control, and deployment processes.
• Ability to learn other coding languages and stacks as needed
• AWS knowledge nice to have but not mandatory
• Experience developing accessible technologies 

About the job

As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to BeHope’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward. As a key member of a small and versatile team, you design, test, deploy and maintain software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Work on web development projects using technologies such as MERN stack and React Native. 
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve software
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
• Create RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services
• Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to other developers
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in web development
