Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan, is looking for a competent Clinical Manager based at Aga Khan Diagnostic Center, Jutial, Gilgit in Gilgit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees operational, financial, and administrative functions.
  • Identifies and resolves issues affecting patient care, ensures resources are utilized appropriately and in a cost-effective manner.
  • Leads the preparation of budget and ensures monitoring of targets / key performance indicators set in the budget including taking corrective action(s) wherever required.
  • Directs and coordinates activities consistent with established goals, objectives, and policies and lead teams for successful execution.
  • Executes and monitors implementation of operational plans, integrate new services and ensure quality compliance.
  • Recommends necessary improvements in the facility and services as per need of the unit.
  • Manages and develops workforce, carries out HR planning and ensures employee retention.
  • Manages day-to-day administration/operation of Clinical Unit by ensuring the implementation of duty rosters for all cadres of staff at clinical Unit.
  • Ensures the implementation of guidelines for safety and security of the staff, visitors, equipment and the building.
  • Develops motivated team at clinical unit and keeps them well informed about the organizational vision, targets and planned initiatives.
  • Ensures high standards of patient care, develops integrated systems at clinical unit aimed at improving the quality of services and meeting clinical and governance standards.
  • Ensures quality assured patient care by implementing clinical policies and protocols at Clinical Unit as per ISO 9001-2015& Safe Care Level 05 requirement.
  • Ensures the process of managing unit through health team management approach by forming appropriate management team and ensuring regular meetings and sharing the minutes with Head of Clinical Units.
  • Implements quality Assurance initiatives as per ISO 9001-2015/Safe Care Level 05 requirement in Clinical unit with particular emphasis on the following areas: Incidence reporting, Client feedback, Patient Referral System, Patient Complaint management, Continuous Professional Development, Client satisfaction surveys and monitoring of clinical indicator.
  • Performs any other tasks as assigned by the Line Manager.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in medicine, nursing, healthcare management, or a related field from a recognized institution is required. A postgraduate qualification such as an MPH, MBA, Master of Science in Healthcare Management, Master of Health Policy and Management, MScN or an equivalent master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare management or a similar leadership role, preferably within large service organizations or healthcare systems. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage time effectively and handle multiple priorities.
