Aga Khan Health Service, Pakistan, is looking for a competent District Supervisor / Coordinator based at Project Offices in Astor, Diamer, Skardu, and Gilgit.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Implementation and Field Coordination
- Lead the day-to-day implementation of SRHR and FP project activities in the district.
- Oversee the functioning of outreach clinics, mobile units, and SRHR health sessions.
- Supervise health facility coordinators and mobilization teams to ensure effective service delivery and community awareness.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Maintain strong coordination with District Health Offices, Lady Health Worker (LHW) programs, and other local health entities.
- Facilitate district-level coordination meetings, joint field visits, and review forums with local government and partners.
- Support district-level advocacy aligned with FP2030 and CCI recommendations.
Supervision and Quality Monitoring
- Conduct regular field visits to ensure compliance with service delivery protocols, quality standards, and referral systems.
- Use supportive supervision tools to mentor service providers and mobilizers.
- Identify operational gaps and provide on-ground troubleshooting and solutions.
Reporting and Documentation
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting of service data, community sessions, and supervision findings using project templates.
- Document case studies, success stories, and field learning to feed into donor and internal reports.
- Monitor stock levels of contraceptives and IEC materials; coordinate resupply with logistics teams.
Safeguarding and Gender Integration
- Promote adherence to safeguarding protocols, gender-sensitive service delivery, and inclusive practices.
- Support the inclusion of marginalized groups (youth, minorities, persons with disabilities) in community activities.
Expected Deliverables
- Weekly and monthly activity reports
- District performance dashboards and supervision logs
- Meeting minutes and coordination records
- Documented referrals, stock usage reports, and feedback summaries
- Field documentation of success stories and impact snapshots
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in public health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Nursing, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in implementing community-based health or SRHR/FP projects.
- Prior experience in managing field teams, coordinating with local stakeholders, and overseeing health outreach is essential.
- Strong team supervision and mentoring capabilities
- Good communication, negotiation, and community engagement skills
- Understanding of SRHR, FP methods, and gender-sensitive programming
- Proficiency in local languages and dialects preferred (Brushaski, Khowar, Shina, Balti)
- Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, mobile data collection tools)
- Results-driven, ethical and adaptable professional with a strong service and stakeholder focus.
- Strong integrity with the sensitivity to manage confidential information.
- Demonstrates superior organizational skills and the agility to multitask and assume changing strategic responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
