Training/Mentorship Coordinator (Job Placement & Market Linkages)


Role Overview: The Training/Mentorship Coordinator will facilitate job placements and market linkages for trainees. This includes coordinating mentorship programs, establishing industry partnerships, and supporting trainees in their transition to employment or self-employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentorship Program Development:
    • Design and implement mentorship programs tailored to trainee needs.
    • Recruit and train mentors from relevant industries.
    • Develop mentorship guidelines and monitoring tools.
  • Industry Partnerships:
    • Identify and establish partnerships with local businesses, SMEs, and industry stakeholders.
    • Organize networking events, job fairs, and industry visits for trainees.
  • Job Placement and Support:
    • Develop job placement strategies and tools.
    • Provide career counseling and job search support to trainees.
    • Facilitate internships, apprenticeships, and job placements.
  • Monitoring and Follow-Up:
    • Track the progress of placed trainees and provide ongoing support.
    • Collect feedback from employers and trainees to improve placement services.
  • Reporting:
    • Prepare detailed reports on mentorship and job placement activities.
    • Document success stories and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in job placement, career counseling, or workforce development.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups and stakeholders.
