Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate engineering, economic growth, and land resource management strategies to ensure compliance with environmental standards.
- Provide constructive feedback on strategies to integrate climate resilience and sustainability measures.
- Prepare comprehensive guidelines to assist field teams in understanding climate change impacts and adaptation strategies.
- Enhance the capacities of field teams through workshops and training sessions on climate change and its relevance to local projects.
- Review and update training materials, ensuring the inclusion of relevant information on climate change and adaptation strategies for community members.
- Coordinate and facilitate training sessions for communities, focusing on practical ways to mitigate and adapt to climate risks.
- Undertake regular field visits to project sites to identify climate hazards, risks, and local environmental challenges.
- Engage with local communities to assess vulnerabilities and co-create solutions for climate resilience.
- Provide reports on field findings and recommend tailored climate adaptation measures.
- Prepare regular reports and updates on climate-related activities, outcomes, and recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications
- Master degree in Environmental Science, Climate Change, or a related field.
- Proven 05 years experience in climate change adaptation, environmental management, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of climate change impacts, risks, and adaptation strategies.
- Experience in designing and delivering training sessions and workshops.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work effectively with local communities and field teams.
