Job Description:               LGR Researcher as Consultant

Reports To:                         Under guidance from LGR Consultant, report to Senior Program Advisor / Team Lead BUILD

Primary function/purpose

The Research Consultant's main objective is to collaborate with the program team on a key assignment to design and conduct a training needs assessment and assist in developing a capacity-building modular training program for Local Government (LG) representatives.

Major duties and responsibilities

• Design training needs assessment methodology, tools and conduct literature review, key informant interviews and focus group discussions.
• Prepare training needs assessment report.
• Assist in the development of 09 training modules (03 each for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Sindh) on key functions of district, tehsil and union/neighborhood/village councils. Training modules must include agendas, PowerPoint presentations in English and Urdu, relevant handouts, trainer manual and lesson plans, participants handbook and pre and post-tests.
• Assist in the design agenda and related materials for Training of Master Trainers (TOMT) and conduct training

Position requirements

• Bachelors’ degree required
• Minimum 2 years’ training needs assessment and research studies, and modules development experience
• Experience working with international NGOs preferred
• Wiling to travel as and when required
• Strong English written and verbal communication skills are required
