Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled External Engagement Associate to join our ADR Centre. As Engagement Associate, you will play a vital role in establishing and maintaining effective communication and relationships with external stakeholders, clients, and partners, and managing all mediation/arbitration cases at the centre. Your primary responsibilities will include managing social media content, handling outgoing communication channels such as newsletters, preparing a comprehensive outreach strategy, scouting for business development opportunities, and scheduling meetings for senior management, and handling the flow of cases to the centre. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, be well-versed in social media management, possess strong organizational abilities, and have a proactive mindset.

 

Responsibilities:

Business Development:

• Developing and implementing a robust yearly business development plan

• Creating and regularly updating a stakeholder log of C-level executives and relevant personal of potential members of MICADR

• Reaching out through mutual contacts, MICADR board members, emails etc to stakeholders to introduce MICADR

• Setting meetings with corporate stakeholders for MICADR senior management

• Ensuring follow-ups with relevant stakeholders to make them MICADR members

• Explore and lead opportunities for MICADR business development in consultation with senior management

• Effectively take cases from current members or other corporate (non-court) stakeholders for ADR and park them with MICADR associate. Regular reporting and management of stakeholders in such cases is critical

 

Media Management and Visibility:

• Develop a quarterly outreach and communication plan covering digital and social media

• Generate social media content ideas and campaigns

• Coordinate with comms every month to ensure implementation of comms plan

• Ensure 100% visibility of MICADR across all available media forums

• Leverage out-of-the-box ideas to enhance MICADR visibility

• Conduct and report back on regular (monthly and quarterly) analysis across media platforms to determine effectiveness of outreach plan (views, engagements, audience converted into action etc)

• Ensure seamless coverage of key events across social media platforms

 

Stakeholder Management and Relationships:

• Lead the development of 6-month newsletter (content, design, dissemination)

• Ensure monthly engagement with all stakeholders on the stakeholder list through emails (newsletter, updates, upcoming training programs etc)

• Ensure visits to current platinum and gold members every quarter to maintain relationships and ask for cases that can be resolved through ADR

• Develop excellent relations with existing and potential members of MICADR

• Explore stakeholders across various sectors that can generate business for MICADR (trainings, cases, memberships etc)

 

Managing operations at MICADR:

• Manage the day to day running of MICADR in coordination with senior management, admin and comms

• Effective reporting of all deliverables to Senior Manager on a weekly basis

• Coordination with admin and comms to ensure smooth operations and visibility on social media

• Making sure new stakeholders are updated on the stakeholder sheet

• Leading the implementation of events when scheduled by senior management (awareness sessions, partner networking events, conferences etc)

 

Qualification and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.

• Proven experience in external relations, communications, or a similar role.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.

• Strong understanding of social media platforms and content management.

• Proficient in using social media management tools and analytics.

• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.

• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to handle various responsibilities concurrently.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with the alternative dispute resolution (ADR) field is a plus.
