Coordinator Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E)

Title of the Position: Coordinator Monitoring and Evaluation

Grade:       C1

Reporting to:              Sr. Manager M&E/Head PD

Department:               M&E Unit - Programme Development (PD) Department

Duty Station:     WWF-Pakistan Head Office Lahore

Type of Contract:        Long Term (Annual Renewable)

Work Week:       5 (Monday to Friday) Days

Work Hours:               09:00 hrs to 17:00 hrs (40 Hours)

Job Summary

The position will take the lead in the execution of internal Monitoring and Evaluation functions at the organization level. The details of job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist PD Department in developing M&E Plans and logical frameworks for new initiatives.

  • Conduct field monitoring visits to the project sites, prepare internal monitoring reports and present the findings in progress review meetings.

  • Coordinate and facilitate the external M&E missions and independent project evaluations.

  • Coordinate with project leads and update the Knowledge Management System of WWF- Pakistan with required information and attachments.

  • Carryout due diligence of downstream partners in order to assess their technical, financial and institutional viability before entering into an agreement.

  • Take the lead in maintaining and updating the organizational level risk register of WWF- Pakistan.

  • Coordinate with members of Projects Review Committee (PRC) and project leads to ensure that the technical progress reports are reviewed by PRC members before submission to the donor.

  • Assist the M&E Unit in centralized data management and developing monitoring tools and dashboards for projects and programmes.

  • Take the lead in conducting socioeconomic baseline surveys and set baseline against indicators.

  • Collect and consolidate the progress of the projects against targets of Work Plan and Indicators of Logical Framework.

  • Assist Technical Teams and Programme Development Department in developing new projects.

  • Any other task assigned by supervisor

Qualification and Experience

  • At least Master Degree in Development Studies, Environmental Sciences, Social Science or any other related subject.

  • At least 4 years of work experience in the development sector with two years of experience in M&E of Donor’s funded projects

  • Experience of working in conservation related project will be an advantage.

  • Demonstrated ability to plan, implementation & manage M&E functions. Ability to coordinate with diverse teams

  • Advanced data analysis and presentation skills

  • Good English language reading, writing and speaking skills; Demonstrated interpersonal communication and leadership skills;

  • Proficiency in the use of computer office applications on word processing and spread sheet;
