Job Description
Position Title: Education Facilitator
Reports To: Safe Home Coordinator
Duty Station: Safe Home – Islamabad
Unit: Programme
Summary of Key Functions
The Education Facilitator provides structured learning opportunities for both women and children residing in the Safe Home, ensuring educational continuity, empowerment, and psychosocial well-being. The role includes planning and delivering formal and informal classes, managing vocational training instructors, and developing joint sessions for mothers and children, all in line with Inspire and UNHCR standards.
Roles and Responsibilities
Learning and Programme Delivery
- Design and deliver age- and need-appropriate classes for adult women and children.
- Organise sessions that strengthen life skills, literacy, and vocational competencies.
- Conduct interactive joint sessions to foster parent-child bonding and education.
- Ensure educational programming aligns with psychosocial and protection objectives.
- Keep individual learning records and attendance for all residents.
- Maintain progress logs for vocational instructors’ sessions.
- Report serious incidents, protection concerns, or risks to the Safe Home Coordinator.
- Coordinate with CWSA, vocational instructors, and other visiting facilitators.
- Engage local partners and NGOs for supplemental resources or referrals.

Key Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences, Psychology or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience working in adult education, child learning or shelter-based educational programming.
- Experience delivering trauma-informed, gender-sensitive education.
- Understanding of humanitarian principles, safeguarding, and Do No Harm (DNH).
- Computer literacy and excellent record-keeping and reporting skills.
- Fluency in Urdu and English; knowledge of local languages is an asset.
