1. Background

The Legal Aid Society (LAS) is a not-for-profit, ISO 9001:2015 certified organization registered under Pakistan’s Societies Registration Act, 1860. Recognized nationwide as a leading advocate for legal empowerment and access to justice, LAS addresses critical issues such as legal aid, gender-based violence prevention, child protection, religious freedom, and climate justice - championing the rights of Pakistan’s most marginalized communities.

Established in 2013, LAS has built a dynamic presence across Sindh, Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Islamabad, serving urban and rural populations through a holistic approach. Its integrated model combines direct legal services, strategic policy reform, and grassroots community mobilization. With a dedicated network of over 700 trained paralegals, LAS has reached 56 million+ individuals via legal awareness campaigns, responded to 500,000+ legal queries, and filed 2,800+ court cases. Additionally, the organization has engaged over 150,000 community members through outreach and training initiatives and empowered 3,000+ women with essential legal literacy skills, actively dismantling barriers to justice and amplifying community agency.

From 1st of July, 2018, LAS embarked upon a landmark public-private partnership with the ‎Government of Sindh through its Law Department to continue services of its Call Centre ‎under the name of the Sindh Legal Advisory Call Center (SLACC). Staffed by High Court-enrolled lawyers, the Sindh Legal Advisory Call Center (SLACC) is Pakistan’s first toll-free helpline providing free legal advice to citizens from Pakistan. In view of the aforesaid, LAS is seeking the help of influencers and celebrities to help spread the name of SLACC, especially across Sindh.

By bridging the gap between vulnerable communities and the protection of the law, LAS serves as a powerful catalyst for equity, resilience, and inclusive development throughout Pakistan.

2. Scope of Consultancy and Expected Outcomes:

The scope of work and corresponding outputs/deliverables will be as follows:

Deliverable 01:

Create 100 designs including banners, standees, posters, media walls etc. to be created within the contract timeframe

Deliverable 02:

Create and edit 10 short form videos in a of up to 180seconds in duration within the contract timeframe

Deliverable 03:

Design a total of 7 program reports (as required by the program teams) within the contract timeframe

3. Project Timeline & Payment schedule

This consultancy's period will 30 days. However, the timelines and payment for each output are given in the following table:

4. Required Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience
• NOC if the consultancy is engaged fulltime with another firm
• Proficiency with graphic design and video editing tools such as Adobe suite, including:
  • Adobe Photoshop
  • Abode Illustrator
  • Adobe Premier Pro

5. Required Document and Conditions for Application:

• Financial Proposal inclusive of all taxes
• Porfolio

6. Confidentiality & Work Product: 

It is agreed that any documentation made accessible to the Consultant whether verbally or in writing, is confidential. The Consultant will hold such information in confidence and will use it solely for the purpose of providing services. The Consultant further agrees not to disclose confidential information to any third party, natural or legal, without LAS’s prior written consent.

7. Protection Against Sexual Exploitation and Abuse:

Legal Aid Society (LAS) is committed to the prevention and protection from all forms of sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA). LAS explicitly prohibits its staff, associates, partners, consultants, or any other representatives associated with the delivery of its work from:

• Engaging in any form of sexual exploitation or abuse.
• Sexual activity with children (persons below the age of (18) irrespective of a mistaken belief of the age of the child which shall not amount to a defence)
• Exchange of money, employment, goods or services for sex, including sexual favors or other forms of humiliating, degrading or exploitative behaviour, is prohibited. This includes any exchange of assistance that is due to beneficiaries of assistance.
• Sexual relationships between LAS staff and beneficiaries of assistance, since they are based on inherently unequal power dynamics, undermine the credibility and integrity of the work of LAS and are strongly discouraged.
