1. Background
CBM is an international development organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of persons with disabilities in the most underserved communities. As part of its commitment to collaboration, shared learning, and strategic alignment with local implementing partners, CBM Pakistan organizes an Annual Partner Workshop.
The workshop provides a platform to reflect on progress, discuss challenges, share experiences, and align programmatic approaches for the year ahead. CBM Pakistan is now seeking the services of an external firm or consultant to design, organize, and facilitate this year’s Annual Partner Workshop, tentatively scheduled to take place in Karachi.
2. Objectives of the Workshop

To review key achievements and lessons learned across CBM-supported projects

To enhance collaboration and coordination among partners
-
To introduce upcoming priorities and cross-cutting themes (e.g., safeguarding, inclusion, accountability)
-
To promote networking and shared learning among implementing partners
-
To co-create strategies for the next planning cycle
-
Facilitate discussions with partners on key institutional policies and donor compliance areas
3. Scope of Work
The selected service provider will be responsible for end-to-end planning, logistics, and facilitation of the Annual Partner Workshop. The key responsibilities include:
a. Workshop Design & Planning

Develop a comprehensive agenda in consultation with CBM Pakistan
-
Design participatory and inclusive sessions using appropriate adult learning and engagement methods
-
Plan activities to promote cross-partner collaboration and knowledge exchange
b. Participant Management & Travel
-
Ensure arrangements for approximately 35 participants
-
Arrange and manage travel (air/road) and accommodation for outstation participants based on the tentative distribution below:

c. Venue and Event Logistics

Identify and manage a suitable venue (preferably Marriot/ Avari /Ramada/Movenpick) in Karachi with the capacity for 35 participants

Ensure arrangements for:

Audio-visual equipment

Workshop branding and visibility materials
-
Registration desk and supplies
-
Stationery and workshop kits
-
Meals and refreshments for all participants
-
Inclusive facilities accessible for persons with disabilities
d. Facilitation and Documentation

Provide experienced facilitators to lead and manage the workshop flow

Conduct icebreakers, group exercises, and breakout discussions
-
Capture workshop discussions, key agreements, and participant reflections
e. Reporting

Submit a comprehensive final report within five working days after the event

The report should include:

Workshop objectives and outcomes

Session summaries
-
Key action points
-
Participant feedback (based on pre/post evaluation forms)

Lessons learned and recommendations for future events
5. Required Qualifications
The firm/consultant must demonstrate:
-
At least 5 years of experience in designing and facilitating workshops/events for development or humanitarian agencies
-
Strong facilitation skills, particularly in participatory and adult-learning approaches
-
Proven capacity in event and logistics management including travel and accommodation
-
Knowledge of disability inclusion and development sector is an advantage
-
Fluency in English and Urdu
