Job Purpose
The Trainer – E-commerce will be responsible for providing training in e-commerce platforms and digital marketing strategies. The role includes teaching students how to set up and manage online stores using platforms like Shopify and Amazon, as well as how to handle online payments and utilize digital marketing techniques. The trainer will ensure that students understand the key components of building and running successful online businesses, including setting up Pioneer accounts and leveraging digital marketing for growth.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and deliver lesson plans on e-commerce fundamentals, including setting up online stores using Shopify, managing Amazon Seller accounts, and integrating payment gateways.
  2. Provide practical, hands-on training on setting up and customizing e-commerce stores on Shopify, guiding students through themes, product listings, and store management.
  3. Teach students how to create and optimize product listings on Amazon, including handling inventory, pricing strategies, and customer service.
  4. Instruct students on digital marketing strategies, including SEO, social media marketing, email marketing, and content marketing to drive traffic to online stores.
  5. Demonstrate how to integrate and manage online payments, teaching students about various payment gateways (e.g., PayPal, Stripe) and how to ensure secure transactions.
  6. Guide students through the process of creating and managing Pioneer accounts, explaining how to use these accounts for receiving payments from international platforms.
  7. Provide training on order fulfillment processes, including managing shipping, returns, and customer support within e-commerce businesses.
  8. Teach students how to analyze e-commerce performance using tools such as Google Analytics, Shopify analytics, and Amazon Seller Central to optimize business operations.
  9. Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback on practical assignments, such as setting up stores, running marketing campaigns, and managing product listings.
  10. Ensure students understand e-commerce laws, regulations, and best practices, including the handling of customer data, privacy policies, and business ethics.
  11. Create and distribute training materials such as handouts, guides, and online resources that students can reference throughout their training.
  12. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in e-commerce, digital marketing, and online payments, incorporating these changes into training content.
  13. Encourage students to develop their own online businesses, offering mentorship and guidance on how to scale their businesses post-training.
  14. Collaborate with the Project Manager to assess training needs and adjust the curriculum to match industry trends and student feedback.
  15. Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and the completion of various modules, providing reports to the Project Manager.

Performance Indicators

  • Success rate of students in setting up and managing Shopify and Amazon accounts/stores independently.
  • Improvement in students' understanding of digital marketing concepts and their ability to execute campaigns.
  • Students’ ability to integrate and manage online payment systems securely.
  • Creation of Pioneer accounts by students and successful setup of international payment methods.
  • Completion and quality of practical assignments, including e-commerce store setups, product listings, and digital marketing plans.
  • Engagement and satisfaction of students with the training program, as indicated by feedback surveys.
  • Students' ability to apply learned concepts to launch and grow their own e-commerce businesses.
  • Timely and accurate reporting on student progress, as well as insights into areas for program improvement.
  • Contribution to curriculum development and the inclusion of relevant tools, platforms, and techniques in the training materials.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, E-commerce, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Certification or specialized training in e-commerce, digital marketing, or online business management is an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience in e-commerce, digital marketing, or online business operations.
  • Practical experience with Shopify, Amazon Seller accounts, digital marketing tools, and online payment systems.
  • Prior experience in training or mentoring students or adult learners is preferred.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms, online payment systems, and digital marketing techniques.
  • Ability to teach and mentor adult learners effectively.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and time-management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting e-commerce operations.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills in English and Urdu.
  • Adaptability to integrate latest trends, tools, and platforms into training content.
  • Professionalism, patience, and ability to foster a supportive learning environment.
