Job Summary:

Under the supervision of Head of Program, the main role of the Head of Business/ proposal Development will be to identify and pursue business/ proposal opportunities to drive organizational growth. The focus will be on formulating and executing strategies to expand the Organization's presence, enhance revenue streams, and foster sustainable partnerships.

Job Responsibilities:

1.     Identification of Potential Business Opportunities:

  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, potentials, and new partnerships.
  • Assist HoP in Developing and implementing country fund raising strategyy of PMS in alignment with the organization's overall mission and objectives.
  • Donors Mapping and connect potential donors with the PMS for possible partnership.
  • Development of Concept Notes and proposals as per the Potential Donors requirements.
  • Participation in Fund Raising Events and reporting back to the Management.
  • Assess the feasibility and profitability of potential ventures.                                                                                                           
2.     Planning Strategically:
  • Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with organizational goal and Policy.
  • Develop detailed business plans for new initiatives, outlining objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Assist in developing and implementing country program strategyy of PMS for in alignment with the organization's overall mission and objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for new programs and enhancements to the existing ones.
  • Identify, connect and Plan new opportunities and trends as per the Organizational Policy.

 3.     Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and partners.
  • Lead the due -diligence process on behalf of PMS.
  • Cultivate new relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and industry influencers.
  • Development of Proposals and Concept Papers:
  • Lead the team in development of compiling proposals & Concept Papers/ Notes and pitching these for potential clients and partners.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with client needs and organizational capabilities

 4.     Cross Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, procurement, MEAL, Business Development, thematic lead and other relevant departments, to ensure successful program planning and implementation.
  • Foster collaboration and communication to address challenges and facilitate a smooth program development process.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including Program, MEAL, Operations, and others to ensure a cohesive approach to business development.
  • Coordinate with external partners and stakeholders to maximize collaborative opportunities.
5.     Monitoring & Collaboration:
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of business development strategies.
  • Prepare regular reports for leadership, highlighting key performance indicators and progress towards business development goals.
  • Prepare the situation report in case of any emergency for donor situational awareness.
  • Review and finalize the donor report.
  • Any other report asked by line manager / management.

Job Specifications:

Education:

  • Master’s degree in business, English, social science, or a relevant field.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 7 - 8 years of experience in program / proposal designing and development.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with EU and ECHO proposal development.
  • Experience with UN intuitional proposal development will be an asset.
