Job Description:

The MEAL Intern will be based in Islamabad, Pakistan and will work under the direct supervision of Senior Researcher & MEAL Officer, Islamabad.

MAIN RESPONSABILITIES:

Assists and support the MEAL Department with the following tasks and activities; Intern will be responsible for:

  • Develop reports and writing them effectively.
  • Carry out regular and routine field monitoring of program activities and produce monitoring visit reports on the given format and report.
  • Carry out follow-up monitoring visits and Validation.
  • Assisting in the data analysis and description for the reports.
  • Conduct rigorous qualitative and quantitative data analysis using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Participating in the development of monitoring and evaluation frameworks.
  • Prepare high-quality research reports, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to organizational standards.
  • Actively participate in and potentially lead training sessions, seminars, and workshops organized by the organization.
  • Ensure data quality and data consistency during data collection and data entry, manage databases and facilitate data analysis.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education

-         Graduate or Postgraduate in Social Sciences or any other related discipline.

Experience

-        Fresh to one year experience in a relevant field. Previous experience in tools development, survey data collection, data analysis software, and tools is preferred but not mandatory.

Languages         

-        Proficiency in Urdu, English and local languages.

 

     Knowledge

-        Excellent computer knowledge with command on MS Excel among other packages of MS Office.

-        Willingness to travel within the assigned areas for data collection.

-        Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

-        Familiarity with humanitarian and development issues is an asset.

-        Strong research and analytical skills.

-        Strong experience in field data collection, including conducting interviews and administering surveys.

-        Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, data management, and basic statistical analysis.

-        Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

-        Meticulous attention to detail in data quality and reporting.
