Job Description:

  • Develop story board for various communication products as per guidelines and coordinate with Dopasi Communication Management team for approvals and executions.
  • Keep information and updates about organizational and project developments to prepare appropriate reports, briefings, background notes, and other documentation as required.
  • Cover important events and activities and ensure their documentation and visibility through short and detailed write ups as per the projects scope, targets and achievements.
  • Develop IEC material and write ups for public awareness and project progress.
  • Record interviews/ testimonials of the beneficiaries and important project stakeholder personalities at various forums, meetings and events for record and visibility.
  • Develop and draft success stories of the ongoing projects and coordinate with monitoring and project teams for regularly highlighting success stories of projects.
  • Maintain photo and IEC material archives of the organization.
  • Compile videos as per story board and editing them.
  • Design and develop graphics as per project theme and branding guidelines.
  • Assist the social media manager in updating and maintaining website and social media pages of the organization, generating accurate, detailed reports covering analytics and narrative explanations of social media campaigns.
  • Assist in organizing and generating public support for special events and campaigns to promote strategic communication goals. Support organization of workshops, seminars, campaigns, events and project review meetings including agendas and meeting minutes.
  • Support with Monitoring and Evaluation measures on communications related deliverables.
  • Support to Improve visibility and brand personality of organizations’ projects.

Required Qualifications and skills

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in filmmaking, journalism, communications, marketing, or any related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in communication and media field, including experience planning and managing content.
  • Experience with USAID, UN agencies and other INGOs projects will be an added advantage.
  • Experience covering health, social justice, high-level events, humanitarian, and development subjects will be an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience with conception, creativity and production of IEC materials.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to travel within country and mostly in twin cities, based on need.
  • Excellent knowledge of social media platforms most especially Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. 
  • Fluency in English.
  • Excellent grammar, spelling, punctuation, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and coordination skills, working collaboratively to achieve goals and need.
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Display flexibility. Offer a variety of options to meet needs.
  • Proactive and strategic thinking, problem-solving oriented, task prioritization
  • Ability to work effectively with little or no supervision.
  • Special attention to social media campaign design and implementation.
  • Demonstrated commitment to human rights and social values.
  • A high level of oral and written communication skills in English language, and Urdu language.
