Job Summary
Job Responsibilities and Tasks
Job Responsibility - 1 (50% of the time)
- Assist in the management of office IT equipment and determine any equipment requiring replacement or repositioning;
- Assist the Admin team in undertaking asset management of all related IT systems and devices. This includes licenses, passwords, mobile Wi-Fi devices, phones, laptops etc.;
- Manage and support users on the wireless network - troubleshoot issues as they arise;
- Test the power stability of the network to determine stability and efficiency;
- Setup network printers/scanners and give users access to these services;
- Continuously monitor the LAN, Internet and WAN (where applicable) ensuring users have access and are able to meet their objectives using ICT;
- Provide help desk support to Pakistan staff with IT queries as they may arise. This may include setting up laptops, installing approved desktop software, and supporting conferencing via WebEx, Zoom.
Job Responsibility - 2 (45% of the time)
- Coordinate with the IT vendor/s for billing, repair and maintenance of IT equipment;
- Provide Secretarial support when there is a conference and workshop;
- Manage the email list and enroll CARE employees as per their requirement, during the orientation phase and/or otherwise, as requested by their supervisor;
- Maintain a backup of all relevant documents that are placed on the shared drive and ensure that data is continuously migrated and stored in a safe place;
- Actively perform backups of Servers, Network Configurations and Data and testing to ensure no important information is lost during disaster situations;
Other responsibilities as assigned (5% of the time)
Any other tasks or responsibilities based on organizational and programming needs as assigned by the Line Manager.
A) Qualifications (Know How)
Required
Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as IT, or Computer Science.
Desired
Hardware and network certifications e.g. CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CCNA, MCSE
B) Experience/ Technical Skills
Required
- 1-2 years of demonstrative experience in ICT operations.
- Should possess strong knowledge in IT Network Concepts, managing, troubleshooting and upgrading office IT network infrastructure.
