The primary purpose of this role is to support the effective and efficient management of SHRRP's website, content writing, and digital resources. The individual will contribute by maintaining and updating the website to ensure smooth functionality, managing and organizing digital library.

Section 1: Scope of Work

 

  1. A.       SHRRP Background

 

The Sindh Housing Recovery and Reconstruction Platform (SHRRP) is the Platform of all stakeholders engaged to support Sindh People’s Housing for Flood Affectees (SPHF) in the housing reconstruction and settlement recovery process. The goal of SHRRP is “Flood families live in resilient homes and communities in Sindh.” The SHRRP will provide support to SPHF to support strategic planning, coordination and cooperation with the national and international Organizations, the private sector, and public associations engaged in post-flood Sindh housing recovery process. The platform will ensure that SPHF led technical assistance and information management are streamlined, disseminated, and communicated at all levels. Prioritizing Fund-raising strategy and flexible resource mobilization to cover up gaps and provide necessary capacity building support to SPHF and partners is the major objective of the platform.

 

  1. B.     Objective

 

The Assistant Website Manager (intern) will assist effective and efficient management of SHRRP’s website, content writing and digital library management by ensuring smooth functionality.

 

Deliverables

  • Understanding the website portal with the vendor, ensure it’s learning to other team members of SHRRP
  • Creating a digital library for content of the website
  • Managing website for the period of three month, in collaboration with SHRRP team.

The total of 330,000 /- excluding all local taxes and the payment will be made monthly upon successful completion of the deliverables.

 

Basic Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

  • Educational Background: Recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any relevant degree will be preferable.
  • Skills: Strong web hosting skills, content writing, learning and sharing attitude.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with web hosting applications and softwares.
  • Required Languages - Required proficiency in written and speaking in English, Urdu, and Sindhi.

 

Travel/location – The position will be based in Karachi, and all work shall be at desk.

D. Immediate Issues for Follow-Up: In addition to the recommendations above, please list specific issues that require urgent follow-up; these issues should be discussed during the exit debriefing.
